Job Summary
Admin Manager - Surgical Care Collaborative 15 hours. We have an exciting opportunity for an Admin Manager to join our team as part of a job share with the current Admin manager to manage and coordinate surgical admin teams across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] across multiple surgical specialities in consultation with consultants, nursing staff and managers. The successful candidate will be operationally responsible for the management and leadership of administrative staff, ensuring the delivery of key performance objectives.
Main Duties of the Job
This is a demanding and busy role. The successful candidate is required to demonstrate the Trust values and standards of behaviour expected by the organisation. The role will report directly to the Surgical Care Collaborative, providing day to day support to service delivery, operational clinical/service leads, managers and admin staff. Responsibilities include managing and monitoring the development of the admin service, modernising processes, and supporting financial, performance and operational objectives. The post holder will also have budgetary responsibility.

Person Specification
- Qualifications (Essential): Advanced Diploma for Medical Secretaries or significant equivalent experience; IT qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience and Knowledge (Essential): Significant administrative experience and line management; Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Software; Experience in training and appraising staff.
- Skills and Abilities (Essential): Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); Ability to work under pressure; Teamwork; Organisational skills; Change management; Persuasion and influence.
- Personal Attributes (Essential): Reliable, adaptable, self-motivated, good telephone manner, calm under pressure, excellent role model.
- Other (Essential): Full UK driving licence with access to a car.
