Responsibilities

  • Define the scope, goals and deliverables of projects and complete them in line with project procedures.
  • Develop a full-scale project plan and communication documents.
  • Effectively communicate project progress/issues to internal line management/main contractor/client.
  • Draft accurate forecasts and escalate budget deviations.
  • Ensure project profitability is maximised.
  • Control, mentor and motivate project team members.
  • Liaise, coordinate, develop and grow business relationships.
  • Maintain health and safety policy.
  • Report incidents, accidents and near misses.
  • Achieve and maintain defined quality standards.
  • Manage stock in a cost effective manner.
  • Ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly identified and calibrated.
  • Ensure plant and equipment is maintained safely.
  • Promote environmental awareness.
  • Conduct post contract review and communicate lessons learnt.
  • Handle difficult personnel situations.
  • Appraisal and development of staff.
  • Take responsibility for special projects.
  • Provide leadership in sales cycle.
  • Responsible for BS ISO/IEC 27001 data security management.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience at project management level.
  • Extensive experience working in the IT environment.
  • Extensive experience of Telecommunications Infrastructure Cabling deployments.
  • Extensive experience of Project Planning activities.
  • Flexibility regarding travel nationally and internationally.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry project delivery processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of project contracts scope and deliverables.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Understanding of PRINCE2 standards.
  • Understanding of OGC Projects and Programme Process.
  • Ability to organise multi skilled teams in projects.
