Grounds Team Leader

Location: Norwich, Norfolk | Salary: Up to £13.80/hr | Job Type: Permanent

Our team of 5,000 colleagues provides a comprehensive range of facilities services, including cleaning, catering, property design, recruitment, transport, and environmental management. Based in the Norwich Region you will be working 37.5 hours a week for 52 weeks of the year on annualised hours. You'll play a key role in maintaining public spaces such as parks, office grounds, and local grass verges among other areas, ensuring that all are kept neat and tidy and to the highest standard.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supervisory role (for example, allocation of duties, work rotas)
  • General maintenance of sites (for example, grass cutting, hedge trimming, clearing leaves, hoeing, pruning, strimming, planting, weed control using chemicals, seeding, etc)
  • Setting out and overmarking of sports pitches and upkeep of artificial/synthetic surfaces
  • Use of the usual range of tools and equipment and the use of powered hand tools and ride-on mowers
  • Oversight of the correct usage and maintenance of equipment and vehicle
  • Interpretation of plans, site preparation, soft and hard landscaping

Who We Are Looking For

  • Highly motivated
  • Experience of commercial or amenity horticulture
  • Good communication and liaison skills
  • Clean current driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS is required or willing to obtain one.
  • Possession of PA1 and PA6 Pesticide Application Certificates
