About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an experienced and dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join its Children with Disabilities Team. This is a key role for an accomplished social work professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and their families.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality social work practice across the Children with Disabilities Team. You will provide professional guidance, oversight, and support to social workers while working directly with complex cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold a small, complex caseload involving children and young people with disabilities

  • Ensure statutory responsibilities are met in line with legislation, policy, and best practice
  • Lead on complex Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care proceedings where required
  • Contribute to decision-making, risk management, and quality assurance of casework
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to deliver coordinated and effective support
  • Support the development and mentoring of less experienced practitioners
  • Promote a strengths-based, child-centred, and inclusive approach to practice

About You

  • A qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
  • Significant post-qualifying experience, ideally within Children with Disabilities services
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and safeguarding frameworks
  • Confident in supervising, mentoring, and supporting other practitioners
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, supportive environment

If you thrive to make a difference and have 3 years Social worker experience and this is the role for you, then we would love to hear from you.
