Accounts Payable & System Improvement Manager
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring an Accounts Payable & System Improvement Manager to join the Financial Operations team. This role offers a hybrid working pattern with hub locations in Bristol, Glasgow, or London. Salary band: £45,000 to £56,000.
Role Overview
Team: Financial Operations - Finance
Reporting to: Head of Financial Operations

Key Outcomes
- Managing a team, developing training sessions, and reviewing process notes.
- Holding regular 121s, supporting team development and objective setting.
- Ensuring tax compliance and accuracy at invoice processing.
- Collaborating with Treasury to manage cash flow and suspense accounts.
- Managing internal and external audit queries and supporting JIRA service desks.
- Reporting on AP and AR KPIs and investigating variances.
- Driving cost efficiency in invoice processing and self-billed invoices.
- Coordinating AP integration testing of new entities.
- Assessing and implementing new system functionality in [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Workday.
- Acting as process and system expert for S2P processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Expert knowledge in Accounts Payable, transactional finance, and Source-to-Pay processes.
- Thorough attention to detail and investigative problem-solving.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across teams and senior leaders.
- Comfortable in a rapidly changing environment with change implementation experience.
- Expertise in ticket management, process automation, KPI reports, and data analytics.
- Team-oriented with a track record in coaching and collaboration.
- Previous experience with Workday or similar ERP is an advantage.
- Accountancy qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) desirable but not essential.
Benefits
