Senior Clinical Pharmacist - [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are looking to recruit a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team, with a salary up to £62,000 on offer. This is a full-time, Monday to Sunday role (08:00-20:00) with night shifts every 3-4 weeks.
Job Summary
Patient safety is at the heart of all our pharmacy services. At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], we'll be using automation, digital infrastructure, secure storage systems, and bar-coded medicines administration to achieve a closed loop medicines administration system. Our Pharmacy services will enable patients to be fully involved in their own care.
Main Duties of the Job
- Support the development, validation, and maintenance of clinical and medicines related guidelines and protocols.
- Supervise junior staff members in the delivery of the clinical pharmacy service.
- Work with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure safe medication prescribing.
- Provide high quality advice and counselling to patients.
- Assist with the management of complaints.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement clinical strategies
- Leading project planning and implementation.
- Resource planning, quality assurance, risk assessments.
- Reporting to senior management, tracking performance.
- Day to day support in various pharmacy areas.
Clinical responsibilities
- Support development of clinical pharmacy training programs.
- Provide day-to-day clinical pharmacy services.
- Assure timely and effective provision of medicines.
- Support on-call services and night shifts.
- Assist with audits, service evaluations, and research.
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
- Masters degree in pharmacy (or equivalent).
- Post graduate clinical diploma in clinical pharmacy (hospital) or equivalent.
- Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Experience (Essential)
- Experience of working in a hospital and project related work.
- Demonstrable competence in general clinical practice, including medicine and surgery.
