Description: Eachstep Lockwood in Huddersfield require a laundry assistant on a part time basis, 2-4 hours per day on a rota basis. This may include weekends and bank holidays.
Responsibilities
- To promote the good name of the Home by ensuring Service Users’ clothing, staff uniforms and bed linen are laundered and finished to the agreed standard.
- To adhere to the Company’s infection control policy
- To ensure adequate supplies of all linen are available.
- To assist in stock checks as required.
- To operate all laundry equipment safety and according to manufacturers’ instructions. cleaning as appropriate. according to manufacturers’ instructions. All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and receipt of two satisfactory references.
- To pre-sort all laundry for wash suitability and arrange for dry
- To wash, iron and finish all items to the agreed standard and
- To hand wash woolens and other items as appropriate.
- Other duties may be required at the discretion of the management.
