Job Responsibilities
- As a Registered Nurse you will join a supportive multi-disciplinary team that works well together in caring for people of all ages who are living with neurological and long-term conditions, including those living with physical disabilities and recovering from traumatic injuries, and providing a high level of personal and rehabilitative care.
- You will work as part of and lead wider teams alongside your therapy colleagues to deliver the individual care each person needs while maintaining accurate records.
- It can be very physical working with people with limited mobility, providing personal care and although challenging, it is highly rewarding. You’ll be supported by a team of colleagues ready to lend a hand and work together to a common goal. No two days are the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.
- You’ll join our teams that support people who have complex rehabilitation needs such as tracheostomies / ventilated / peg feeds and who have extensive and long-term rehabilitation goals. In some cases, people’s mobility and speech can be affected and we work closely with a range of other services including wheelchair, speech and alternative communication aid providers.
Qualifications & Experience
- A relevant nursing qualification
- Spinal injury experience
- NMC registration
- Strong team-working skills
- A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
- A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
- A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
