Job summary
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for you to work in the vibrant and dynamic environment of the Weymouth Urgent Treatment Centre and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Minor Injury Units. As part of the Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service (DIUCS) you will play a crucial role in delivering a co-ordinated and collaborative urgent care response to the patients of Dorset, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of minor injuries and minor ailments. Currently we have vacancies for full time and part time hours, as a Band 7 Emergency Care Practitioner with experience in minor injuries, ailments and booked urgent care appointments.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for candidates that can deliver an excellent standard of patient care demonstrating advanced clinical practice and decision making skills. The Weymouth Urgent Treatment Centre is central to the delivery of patient care in the local community. The multi-disciplinary team, consisting of nurses, paramedics, skilled healthcare assistants and doctors are committed to delivering timely and efficient care. This role offers the opportunity to have a presence working across sites and services within DIUCS. Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Person Specification
Knowledge, Skills and Training (Essential)
- Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level supplemented by minimum PG dip (120 credits) plus MA/MSc or working towards in a relevant subject or demonstrable extensive experience
- Membership of the relevant Professional Body
Job Specific Experience (Essential)
- Experience at Registered Practitioner Band 6 level
- Evidence of risk management skills and experience
- Able to demonstrate specialist clinical reasoning skills
