Salary: £52,656 - £73,992 pa (depending on experience)
Contract: Fixed term (12 months), Part-time

Job Summary
As a Fellow in Medical Education at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will join a multi-professional team providing a high performing and fast paced yet supportive environment in which you would be supported to develop professionally while contributing actively to the goals and mission of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. You will learn how to design, develop, deliver, market, assess and research around simulation-based education and other trainings developed by [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and gain an unrivalled educational experience. This is a fixed term 12 months full time post for a Fellow in Medical Education, designed for a Specialty Trainee (years 4-5) in psychiatry to undertake as an Out-of-Programme Experience (OOPE) from their training rotation.
Main Duties of the Job
- Design, develop and deliver a series of simulation-based-education and other mental health training programmes and courses in collaboration with a range of stakeholders, including commissioners.
- Evaluate the impact of courses and training programmes delivered, including presentation of results at relevant conference and submission for publication.
- Contribute to the writing bids and reports of completed training projects.
- Contribute to the development of the simulation team, attending relevant meetings and events.
- Contribute to the project management of courses and programmes.
Communications and Working Relationships: Simulation Clinical Lead, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and Simulation faculty, Head of Operations, Research & Development Team, Sales & Marketing Team, Managing Director, Business & administration team, External stakeholders and partners, Technology Enhanced Learning Team.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential: Primary Degree in Medicine, Postgraduate Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
Desirable: Evidence of post-graduate study in medical education
Experience
Essential: An active and proven interest in medical education
Desirable: Experience of delivering simulation training
Knowledge / Skills
Essential: Excellent oral communication skills, Strong planning and organisational skills
Desirable: Academic writing skills, Work to deadlines under pressure, Team player
