Project Office Coordinator
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is hiring a Project Office Coordinator (NHS Band 5) on a fixed-term full-time basis. The role is based at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth or the Isle of Wight. Closing date: 27 May 2026.
Job Summary
NHS Band 5: Salary £32,073 - £39,043 per annum. Hours per week: full time 37.5. Contract Type: 2 X Fixed Term (1 x FTC for 24 months and 1 x FTC for 18 Months). Roles are based at either Portsmouth or the Isle of Wight. The project coordinator will support project managers to successfully initiate, plan, design, execute, monitor, control and close projects.
Main Duties
- Work within digital teams to deliver system wide health and social care projects.
- Provide guidance and support to senior leadership, programme and project managers.
- Support business case development, planning, risk and issue management, monitoring and coordination.
- Project manage a specific project within a site or health economy.

Job Responsibilities

- Communicate programme sensitive information requiring agreement or cooperation.
- Analyse and compare options, correlate information, summarise written information.
- Identify and monitor risks and issues, highlight necessary action.
- Monitor progress of defined aspects of specific projects.
Person Specification
Skills and Knowledge (Essential): Knowledge and experience of supporting multiple projects, identifying roadblocks, escalating risks, reporting on delivery schedules.
Qualifications (Essential): First degree or equivalent experience plus further training to diploma level.
Experience (Essential): Supporting development of standard activities, delivery of deployment of standard processes, devising and maintaining templates, identifying process gaps, delivering training, building networks, supporting planning for organisation-wide change, supporting project implementation and delivery.
