Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Clinical Fellow to join the Urology team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (MFT). This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad clinical experience within a large, dynamic and supportive department delivering services across multiple hospital sites.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of urological conditions, including elective and emergency care, within both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role offers opportunities to develop skills in ward-based care, outpatient clinics and theatre sessions, supported by experienced consultants and a multidisciplinary team.

This post is ideal for doctors looking to build experience in urology or strengthen their portfolio prior to higher specialist training.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will support the delivery of urology services across the Trust, working closely with consultants, registrars and the wider multidisciplinary team.

    Key duties include:

  • Assessment and management of patients admitted under urology for elective and emergency care
  • Participation in consultant-led ward rounds and ongoing inpatient care
  • Attendance at outpatient clinics, flexible cystoscopy lists and day-case surgical activity
  • Participation in theatre sessions and operative experience where appropriate
  • Contribution to the acute urology service, including participation in the on-call rota
  • Attendance at MDT, radiology and governance meetings where required
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and supporting patient flow across sites
  • Participation in audit, quality improvement and teaching activities

The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across sites in line with service requirements and contribute to the departmental rota.
