Receptionist / Clerical Officer
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a part-time permanent Receptionist / Clerical Officer based at St Peter's Health Centre, Burnley. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the Community Administration Team across multiple sites.
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Community Administration Team as a Receptionist / Clerical Officer. This is a part-time and permanent position. Your base will be at St Peter's Health Centre. Once trained you will travel across all community sites to provide cover where needed. There are 2 x posts available, one 25 hour post and one 20 hour post - please specify in your application which post you are applying for. We invite candidates that are keen, enthusiastic and committed to improving patient services with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure, in order to provide comprehensive administration support to all services based at the Health Centre.
Main Duties of the Job
A flexible approach to work is essential with a willingness to work at other Trust sites. Duties include operating a busy switchboard, answering queries, electronic booking system for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Services, greeting patients, making appointments, booking multi-purpose rooms, reporting repairs, dealing with mail, and providing cover as needed.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide a general enquiry and reception service for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Operate the switchboard and transfer calls.
- Book patient appointments using EMIS/CERNER.
- Maintain filing systems and patient records.
- Provide secretarial and admin support using Microsoft Office.
- Order stationery and manage stock.
- Book room bookings and organise equipment.
- Undertake health and safety checks and report issues.
Qualifications
Essential: GCSE grade C/4 in English and Maths or equivalent, ECDL or equivalent, 2 years previous reception experience, experience in an office environment, ability to multi-task, good communication skills, confidentiality, teamwork, IT skills, complaint handling, car driver. Desirable: NVQ 3 in Business administration/Customer service, EMIS/CERNER, telephone/switchboard experience, customer care training.
