Job Summary

Exciting opportunity to join a large, modern, innovative Practice in Huddersfield (5 minutes from the M62 junction). Looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player who enjoys working in a successful, high achieving Practice. Our experienced multidisciplinary team currently consists of 9 GPs, 2 ANPs, 1 PA, 4 Pharmacists, 5 Practice Nurses and 5 HCAs. We use TPP SystmOne.

You will be part of the egalitarian Clinical and Management Team (CMT) who oversee all aspects of the Practice. We are always keen to develop new ways of working to simplify processes and streamline workflow, ensuring responsibilities are shared out equitably and with full support. Individuals who enjoy transformation and practice development will be welcomed. We offer a flexible and supported work environment.

Main Duties

• Provide Personal Medical Services to acceptable clinical standards to patients, both in surgery and on home visits.
• Respond to medical problems presented by patients, including history taking, examination, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, referral where appropriate and adequate documentation with READ coding onto the GP Computer system.
• Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care and advice to Practice patients.
• Attend all team meetings and other meetings as necessary for PMS duties.
• Carry out clinically related administrative and non-clinical duties needed for the delivery of personal medical services.
• Provide free certification in line with Schedule 9 of NHS GMS Regulations (1992).
• Provide emergency cover for absent colleagues from time to time.
• Maintain patient clinical records in line with the electronic patient record system.

Essential Qualifications

• Registered with the GMC or other appropriate governing body.
• General Practice experience.
