Job summary

Senior GP Practice Administrator. We are a friendly GP practice in the heart of the local community in Belgravia serving just over 11,000 patients with a dedicated GP partner. We deliver high-quality, personalised care in a supportive environment. As our Senior GP Practice Administrator, you will support the Practice in the smooth and efficient running of the practice. This hands-on senior role includes overseeing administrative operations, managing workflows, patient records, registrations, correspondence and data quality, as well as supporting the reception teams. You will work closely with the Practice Manager in a varied, rewarding position with real influence. Located a short walk from Victoria and a stone's throw from Sloane Square, we offer a great working environment in a friendly team. Main duties of the job

The main duties involve a mix of clinical admin, patient screening, reception work and support for the Practice Manager. Core responsibilities include:

  • Managing the admin inbox and clearing SystmOne tasks
  • Handling key screening programmes (diabetic eye screening recalls and smear test invites)
  • Running QOF dashboards, booking patients to meet targets, and reporting monthly progress
  • Processing patient registrations, deductions, and chasing outstanding referrals (including 2ww urgent suspected cancer referrals)
  • Performing dictation typing, sending patient letters, and preparing insurance reports
  • Ordering stationery and equipment (with Practice Manager approval)
  • Covering reception duties and assisting with ad hoc projects or operations
  • Supporting compliance tasks, such as updating the compliance dashboard and helping with PPG (Patient Participation Group) meetings

Qualifications

Essential: Experience in Primary Care and leadership. Strong understanding of Primary Care operational environments. Excellent organisational, problem solving and communication skills.
