Welcome Team Coordinator

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Welcome Team Coordinator for a permanent, full-time onsite role at Deptford Medical Centre or [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] in South East London. Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors to the practice.
  • Support safe and smooth patient flow.
  • Use empathy and de-escalation skills to manage difficult situations.
  • Collect and record patient observations and medical vitals.
  • Keep reception and waiting areas clean, safe and welcoming.
  • Escalate urgent in-person concerns when needed.

About You & Working Hours

What we’re looking for

  • Someone who enjoys working directly with people.
  • Clear, compassionate communication skills.
  • Calm and professional under pressure.
  • Organised and comfortable using IT systems.
  • A team player who cares about patient experience and quality care.
  • Healthcare experience is helpful but not essential. We’ll provide full training and ongoing support.

Working patterns

  • 37.5 Hours Per week
  • Compressed hours (8:00am – 6:30pm)
  • Flexible patterns including early and late shifts

All Welcome Team Coordinators must be comfortable opening and closing the practice, including locking up.
