Overview of the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a Remote Services Pharmacist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support and advice to patients. You will be conducting consultations via phone calls, video calls and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct Pharmacy Service Consultations: Perform thorough consultations with patients i.e. NHS and private, in line with published service specifications and our SOP and Best in Class guidance.
  • Patient Education: Provide clear and accurate information on medication, including dosage, potential side effects, and any necessary lifestyle adjustments. When required, follow up with patients to assess their experience, including addressing barriers to compliance and making recommendations as necessary.
  • Clinical Documentation: Accurately document all consultations and patient outcomes in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with GPs, community pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Audit and Reporting: Participate in audits and provide regular reports and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and best practice standards.
  • Person-Centred Care: Maintain a person-centred care approach, ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction and engagement with the service.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is desired but not essential. You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.
