Evening Pharmacy Technician ACT

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense and check medications prepared by others accurately against prescriptions, following pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and UK pharmacy regulations.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients and prescribers, responding to clinical and non-clinical queries within your scope of practice.
  • Apply the skills and knowledge gained through your NVQ3 Pharmacy Technician training to actively support the wider [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] team. This includes contributing to the training and development of dispensary and support staff, while helping to uphold the high standards of care and service that [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is known for.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with stock control, including ordering, replenishment, and expiry checks.
  • Support safety and quality assurance initiatives, including identifying and reporting any discrepancies or concerns related to medication safety.

Requirements

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Qualification (or equivalent as recognised by the General Pharmaceutical Council).
  • Have successfully completed their Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician training.
  • Be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Candidates who have completed their training and are awaiting GPhC registration will also be considered.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Possess outstanding communication skills and a patient-centric approach to service delivery.
