Overview
We are hiring an Account Director to join [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] CTE, a specialist team dedicated to making clinical trials more human. Where others see protocols and participants, we see real lives — and the opportunity to turn uncertainty into clarity, trust and support. In this role, you’ll lead global client partnerships that help people access potential new treatments when they need them most, while shaping work that genuinely improves the clinical trial experience worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead senior client relationships across global clinical trial programmes, acting as a trusted strategic partner
- Shape account strategy and brand direction across participant recruitment, engagement and site engagement
- Oversee integrated campaigns from briefing and strategic development through to delivery and evaluation
- Balance scientific accuracy, regulatory requirements and creative excellence across all outputs
- Manage account performance, including budgets, forecasting and commercial outcomes
- Identify opportunities for account growth and meaningful innovation across global trials
- Support, coach and develop account teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in account management within a healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical communications agency
- Strong understanding of the clinical trial and healthcare landscape, including compliance and governance
- Proven ability to develop strategic programmes aligned to scientific, regulatory and commercial objectives
- Experience leading and developing teams with a supportive, people‑centred approach
- Confidence working with global clients and geographically dispersed teams
- Clear, credible communication skills with senior internal and external stakeholders
- A thoughtful, data‑informed mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and positive change
