Main Purpose of the Job

To ensure that all company products comply with the relevant European standards and directives and applicable international certification standards.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed

  • Ability to organise and coordinate Compliance / Certification Programmes in accordance with Project Plans
  • Support all intrusion products with Product Standards and Legislative expertise to achieve best outcomes for Compliance and the Business
  • Contribute to Standards and Legislative programmes via the companies membership of Trade Associations and representing the Business
  • Manage appropriate documentation of Compliance / Certification Results and Conclusions
  • Run the operation of our internal test equipment and processes
  • Support the design team around existing and new product design

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a relevant Standards and Approvals role
  • Industry knowledge and experience (Electronics)
  • New Product Design Experience
    • Ability to influence through the design cycle
    • Organise and carry out any pre-compliance testing
    • Maintain accurate records of all testing
    • Create and maintain Technical Construction Files
  • Provide information and advice to the design team on the test results and methods of rectifying any shortcomings
  • Compiling technical documentation for submission, certification applications
  • Standards
    • Knowledge of Intrusion / Security products
    • Maintain the companies library of Standards
    • Ability to comprehend and interpret Standards, Directives and Regulations
  • Can work methodically with excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Be proactive and able to manage own workload with a view to continuous improvement within the wider team

Desirable Skills

  • HNC/D in an Engineering discipline
