Main Purpose of the Job
To ensure that all company products comply with the relevant European standards and directives and applicable international certification standards.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed
- Ability to organise and coordinate Compliance / Certification Programmes in accordance with Project Plans
- Support all intrusion products with Product Standards and Legislative expertise to achieve best outcomes for Compliance and the Business
- Contribute to Standards and Legislative programmes via the companies membership of Trade Associations and representing the Business
- Manage appropriate documentation of Compliance / Certification Results and Conclusions
- Run the operation of our internal test equipment and processes
- Support the design team around existing and new product design
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a relevant Standards and Approvals role
- Industry knowledge and experience (Electronics)
- New Product Design Experience
- Ability to influence through the design cycle
- Organise and carry out any pre-compliance testing
- Maintain accurate records of all testing
- Create and maintain Technical Construction Files
- Provide information and advice to the design team on the test results and methods of rectifying any shortcomings
- Compiling technical documentation for submission, certification applications
- Standards
- Knowledge of Intrusion / Security products
- Maintain the companies library of Standards
- Ability to comprehend and interpret Standards, Directives and Regulations
- Can work methodically with excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Be proactive and able to manage own workload with a view to continuous improvement within the wider team
Desirable Skills
- HNC/D in an Engineering discipline
