Position Overview
To manage and grow the existing [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] customer base through effective use of the CRM system, proactive customer engagement, cross-selling of the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] product range, and successful onboarding of new customers. This role is focused on strengthening relationships, increasing customer value, improving retention, and supporting sales growth through structured account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop existing customer accounts through the CRM system, ensuring records, opportunities, and follow-up actions are accurate and up to date.
- Build and maintain regular contact plans for customers to support engagement, retention, reactivation, and account growth.
- Identify and convert cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] product and service range.
- Follow up enquiries, previous orders, campaigns, and inactive accounts to generate repeat business and new sales opportunities.
- Support the onboarding of new customers, ensuring a smooth introduction to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] products, processes, and key contacts.
- Ensure customer information, preferences, and requirements are captured correctly within the CRM.
- Build strong day-to-day customer relationships through phone, email, and proactive account management.
- Act as a reliable point of contact for customer queries, product guidance, and commercial follow-up.
- Work closely with external sales, marketing, operations, case support, and other internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Report on pipeline activity, account development, customer engagement, and performance against targets.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in inside sales, account management, customer success, or a similar customer-facing commercial role.
- Strong CRM capability, with experience managing customer activity, pipeline, and reporting.
- Proven ability to build relationships, manage an account base, and identify sales opportunities.
- Confident in cross-selling and growing revenue through proactive customer contact.
- Excellent communication skills by phone, email, and in person.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail, and follow-up discipline.
- Commercially aware, target-driven, and comfortable working with KPIs.
- Experience in manufacturing, dental, healthcare, medical devices, or a technical product environment would be advantageous.
