We are seeking a Floating Sous Chef to join the kitchen teams across the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group, primarily supporting our Ayrshire venues with potential to assist across the wider group when required. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and adaptable culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting multiple teams and venues.
As Floating Sous Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining high culinary standards, supporting kitchen operations, and providing leadership across a variety of our award-winning hotels and restaurants. Working closely with Head Chefs and senior kitchen management, you will help ensure consistency, quality, and exceptional guest experiences across the group.

What You'll Be Doing
- Support kitchen operations across multiple [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group venues, primarily within Ayrshire.
- Provide cover for Sous Chef and senior kitchen positions where required.
- Support Head Chefs in maintaining high food quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and kitchen organisation during service.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and company standards.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
- Support, motivate, and develop junior kitchen team members.
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams and wider hotel operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie within high-volume or quality-focused kitchens.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work across different venues and teams.
- Strong culinary skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in banqueting and events is advantageous.
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A full driving licence and flexibility to travel between venues is essential.
