Regulatory Counsel (Payments)

This role can be based in Bucharest, Krakow, Lisbon, London, or Madrid, or remote in Poland, Portugal, Spain, or the UK. Compensation ranges from PLN19,800 to PLN29,200 gross monthly for Krakow/Poland; other locations discussed during interview.

About the role

The Legal team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] turns complexity into clarity. We're looking for a Regulatory Legal Counsel to advise on compliance and legal issues around our payment features.

What you’ll be doing

  • Advising on the structuring of new and existing financial products in the areas of payments and banking
  • Drafting customer-facing legal documents for these products
  • Helping to structure and expand products while managing regulatory expectations
  • Engaging and working alongside European and local regulators
  • Excelling at leadership while also undertaking executional work
  • Handling significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times

What you'll need

  • 6+ years of PQE
  • Excellent academic and law firm credentials
  • Experience advising on financial regulations in Europe
  • Sound judgement, composure under pressure, and a collaborative mindset
  • Confidence making decisions where there's ambiguity or incomplete information
  • Experience with PSD2 and CRD
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Fluency in English

Compensation range

  • Krakow: PLN19,800 - PLN29,200 gross monthly
  • Poland: PLN19,800 - PLN29,200 gross monthly
  • Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
