Description
The Project Manager within the Institutional Banking Group (IBG) plays a critical role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of key business initiatives across Institutional Banking, Treasury, and related product lines. This individual ensures all strategic and operational projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with bank priorities. This role requires strong organization, collaboration, and accountability discipline to drive execution and effective communication across senior management and functional teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage all projects and initiatives within the Institutional Banking Group, from concept through completion.
- Develop and maintain a centralized tracking system for all ongoing projects, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and progress across business units and support departments.
- Prepare regular senior management and executive-level reports summarizing project status, risks, resource needs, and key decisions.
- Conduct timely follow-up with stakeholders to ensure progress and escalate delays or obstacles where necessary.
- Facilitate project governance meetings, track action items, and ensure timely closure and documentation of outcomes.
- Proactively identify areas requiring process improvement, policy updates, or operational enhancements to improve project efficiency and delivery.
- Support resource planning, prioritization, and capacity management across concurrent initiatives.
- Maintain strong alignment with Compliance, Risk Management, Operations, and Technology partners to ensure regulatory and operational requirements are incorporated into all project deliverables.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to BSA/AML requirements, network requirements and internal compliance policies.
- Identify and escalate suspicious or unusual activity in accordance with bank procedures.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Management or a related field; PMP certification required
- 5 – 8 years of experience in project management within banking financial services, or institutional client environments
- Strong understanding of banking operations, institutional client management, treasury products and compliance frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tool and other collaboration tools

- Detail-driven with a high level of accuracy
PREFERRED / PLUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Bank technology implementations and system conversions
- Knowledge of payment processors, middleware providers, or sponsor bank models.
- Fintech/BaaS program implementations
