Senior Solicitor/Partner. Central London

Location: London | Job Type: Permanent | Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 per annum | Package: Performance generous bonus, health and pension benefits

Our client is a boutique London-based law firm specialising in complex, high-value, and cross-border matters. The firm advises corporates, investors, and high-net-worth individuals on dispute resolution, regulatory issues, and international legal strategy, well-established and recognised for their commercially focused approach, international outlook, and ability to navigate sophisticated legal challenges across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Relationships

  • Originate new instructions and develop a strong pipeline of work
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporates, investors, and high-net-worth individuals
  • Convert opportunities into retained matters
  • Maintain long-term client relationships and repeat instructions

Legal Delivery & Leadership

  • Lead complex litigation, arbitration, and cross-border matters
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients
  • Supervise and support solicitors and junior team members
  • Ensure high standards of legal work and client service

Commercial & Pricing Responsibility

  • Scope and price matters appropriately, with input from Finance where required
  • Monitor matter progress against scope and budget
  • Ensure matters are managed in a commercially effective manner

Strategic Contribution

  • Contribute to the firm's growth strategy and positioning
  • Support development of key practice areas and markets
  • Participate in thought leadership and external profile-building

Key Skills

  • 7+ years PQE
  • Strong experience in dispute resolution and/or cross-border matters
  • Demonstrated ability to originate work and manage client relationships
  • A portable client following is advantageous for a Partner-level appointment
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of pricing and profitability
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • International experience or client exposure is advantageous
