Wine Brand and Sales Manager

Location: Hampshire, United Kingdom

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £35000 — £50000 per annum

Brand and Marketing

Develop and execute the winery's brand identity and marketing strategy from the ground up, establishing a distinctive voice and visual presence. Build and maintain a strong local and regional profile across Hampshire and surrounding areas through targeted community engagement and partnerships. Create, manage and grow all social media and digital channels, including content planning, scheduling and performance monitoring. Plan, coordinate and deliver launch events, consumer tastings and trade presentations from concept through to execution.

Sales and Commercial

  • Design and implement the initial sales strategy, identifying priority channels and setting realistic targets aligned with production volumes.
  • Establish and develop direct-to-consumer sales channels, including cellar door, e-commerce and a customer mailing list.
  • Build and manage relationships with local and regional trade accounts, independent wine retailers, restaurants, hotels and hospitality venues.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse trends and adapt the commercial approach as production scales toward 25,000 bottles annually.

Operations and Supply Chain

  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics between contract winemakers, dry goods suppliers, the winery and customers, ensuring smooth and timely product movement.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with all third-party producers, suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Oversee stock management, order fulfilment and basic inventory control, maintaining accurate records at all times.
  • Develop and document operational processes and systems that can scale efficiently with business growth.

Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the business's primary internal expert on wine, providing clear, commercially grounded recommendations to ownership on product, pricing, positioning and market development.
  • Translate technical wine knowledge into accessible insight for commercially experienced but wine-new stakeholders.
  • Contribute actively to long-term strategic planning on range development, channel mix and brand evolution.
  • Represent the wine brand externally at trade events, press engagements and industry forums, building the winery's profile and network from day one.

  • Experience in selling and marketing wine brands
  • Knowledge of the industry, personal passion and interest in raising a new private vineyard brand from the ground up
  • Flexibility to work remotely, on the road, and travel to the Vineyard on occasions when required
  • Willing to engage in social media management and online promotions
  • Team player, who can work closely with the vineyard personnel, management and other team members
