Project Engineer (DSEAR)
At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], we are looking for a Project Engineer (DSEAR) to join our Chemical and Biological Treatment team on a permanent basis. This role involves supporting the delivery of DSEAR projects with a focus on Chlorine Gas and Methanol Dosing, managing performance in hazardous environments.

Key Duties
- Project liaison from enquiry stage to final acceptance, including client meetings and site surveys.
- Instructing, directing, and allocating work to Trade Operatives & Apprentices with attention to quality, productivity, and safety.
- Ensuring technical information is available for design and construction delivery.
- Interpreting and checking drawings, specifications, and schedules; preparing final documentation (As Built Drawings).
- Early identification and resolution of non-conformance in design and construction.
- Managing design of systems and products to align with specifications.
- Completion of contract documents and management of project quality deliverables.
- Input to tender, design, and construction programmes with progress updates.
- Subcontractor liaison and management including tender specification, quotation, and H&S documentation review.
- Preparation of Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans with Principal Contractor responsibility under CDM.
What You Need
- Qualification to degree / HND/ HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience working in a Hazardous Environment, preferably Chlorine Gas or Methanol Dosing.
- Proven track record in Project Management with an Engineering or Supervisory background.
- Good time management and ability to multitask, plan, and organise workloads.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to interpret technical instructions.
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering trades.
- Drive to work individually and with teams, with innovative thinking and ability to learn new technologies.
- Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
