Registered Manager – children's home

We are supporting a forward-thinking, innovative children’s residential provider who are seeking a Registered Manager to oversee a 2-bed EBD home in Shirebrook, Derbyshire. This is a great opportunity to lead an established home within a caring and supportive organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leading the day-to-day management of a 2-bed EBD children’s home.
  • Ensuring each young person has an individualised care plan reflecting their emotional, educational, social, cultural, therapeutic and health needs.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating placement plans.
  • Allocating Key Workers and overseeing the effective delivery of care plans.
  • Building strong working relationships with families, carers, local authorities and external professionals.
  • Overseeing budgets and ensuring cost-effective service delivery.
  • Ensuring staffing levels and staff competencies meet the needs of the young people.
  • Ensuring all new staff receive a full induction and ongoing personal development plan.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation, regulations and best practice in residential childcare.
  • Providing strong leadership, professional supervision and support to the staff team.
