Nursery Room Leader – Thames Ditton, Surrey, KT7

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a confident and passionate Room Leader. Salary: £31,000 per year. 40 hours per week, 4 or 5 days. Permanent, all year round.

About the Role

We are seeking a confident and passionate Room Leader to join a well-established Nursery. This role is based in the 1–2 year old room, overseeing up to 12 children and leading a team of three practitioners within a 100-place nursery. The successful candidate will be values-led, motivated, and committed to maintaining high standards of care while supporting both children and staff to thrive in a positive, professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the 1–2 year old room in line with EYFS
  • Provide high-quality childcare and early education
  • Support and inspire staff to deliver outstanding practice
  • Celebrate and track children’s learning and development
  • Build positive relationships with families and colleagues
  • Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery standards

About You

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner or Room Leader
  • Strong EYFS knowledge and inclusive practice
  • Confident communicator with parents and team members
  • Eligible to work in the UK
