Salary: £14.00+ per hour | Circa £25,480 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

Days/Hours: 35 hours over 4 days | 8:00am–6:00pm | Includes 1-hour lunch + 15-minute afternoon break

Contract: All Year Round / Permanent

We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our warm and welcoming small nursery in Blackheath, London. With a maximum of 42 children per day across four classrooms, we pride ourselves on offering a close-knit, family-feel environment where children, parents, and staff feel fully supported and valued.

Our nursery features a large outdoor garden with a dedicated Forest School area and mud kitchen, and we are ideally located close to Greenwich Park with excellent transport links. This role is suitable for both newly qualified practitioners and experienced Early Years professionals looking to continue developing their career in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality childcare and education in line with the EYFS
  • Support children’s learning and development through engaging activities
  • Act as a key person and build strong relationships with children and families
  • Carry out observations and contribute to planning
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team

About You

  • Minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner or similar childcare role
  • Passion for working with children and supporting early development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive, proactive attitude
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
  • Eligible to work in the UK
