Salary: £19.00 per hour | £21,660 per year (pro rata)

Hours: 30 hours | Monday–Friday | 8:00am–2:30pm

Contract: Permanent | Term Time (38 weeks)

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate Nursery Manager to join our welcoming preschool in Leytonstone, London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years leader to drive quality, support staff development, and lead a dedicated team in delivering outstanding childcare and education. The successful Nursery Manager will lead the day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring high standards, strong leadership, and continuous improvement across all areas of provision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the preschool
  • Provide strong leadership to a team, promoting a positive and supportive culture
  • Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings
  • Develop and implement a high-quality, ambitious curriculum
  • Ensure consistent high standards in teaching, learning, and care
  • Support staff development through structured training programmes
  • Strengthen adult-child interactions, particularly communication and language
  • Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, maintaining strong self-evaluation and improvement plans

About You

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager or Nursery Manager
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and child development
  • Excellent communication skills with parents, staff, and external professionals
  • Eligible to work in the UK
