HSE Advisor

About the Role

The HSE Advisor will be responsible for providing Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) compliance support for the Shell Centre and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] teams. This includes auditing, training, policy implementation, and incident investigation.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and health and safety advice to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] employees across Client sites.
  • Embed health and safety policies across all locations, supporting existing arrangements and developing new initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication with key [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] personnel, Client representatives, and the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] QSHE team.
  • Support teams to ensure all elements of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s 7 Safety Nets meet legal and company requirements.
  • Conduct Level 1 self-inspections and Level 2 audits across Client sites.
  • Support Site Managers and Supervisors by reviewing health and safety plans and setting objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with Site Teams and the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] QSHE team.
  • Support key processes including auditing, training, change control, risk management, and accident management.
  • Support environmental initiatives in collaboration with operational teams.
  • Produce monthly progress reports and attend review and management meetings.
  • Act as an active member of the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] QSHE team.

What You Bring

  • A recognised Health & Safety qualification at degree or graduate diploma level (NEBOSH Diploma preferred).
  • Food Safety qualification (Level 3).
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Experience of setting and achieving challenging goals.
  • Ability to produce clear reports and communications.
  • Proven stakeholder relationship management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Teams. EQMS knowledge desirable.
