Food Service Assistant

What you'll do

  • Support the preparation and presentation of food to company and food safety standards (including HACCP)
  • Deliver friendly, efficient customer service and create a welcoming environment
  • Operate tills and handle transactions accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness across all areas, including dining spaces, equipment, and kitchen surfaces
  • Set up, restock, and monitor food service counters and condiments
  • Follow all health & safety, food hygiene, COSHH, and site-specific procedures
  • Monitor and record temperatures of food storage and service equipment
  • Report any issues such as hazards, faulty equipment, or incidents promptly

  • Awareness of hygiene, safety, and compliance standards in a catering environment
  • Ability to follow procedures and work in a structured, standards-driven setting

  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and personal presentation
  • Previous catering or hospitality experience is desired
