About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Roman Catholic Chaplain to join the Chaplaincy team at HMP Bronzefield. In this role, you will provide pastoral care and faith-specific support to prisoners and staff within a multi-faith environment. You will play a key role in supporting rehabilitation, promoting spiritual wellbeing, and contributing to a respectful and inclusive prison community.

Main Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to prisoners, staff, and their families, regardless of faith background
- Plan, lead, and facilitate Roman Catholic worship, prayer services, and faith-based programmes
- Work collaboratively within a multi-faith Chaplaincy team to deliver inclusive services
- Support prisoners in crisis situations and contribute to their rehabilitation and personal development
- Build relationships with community faith groups to support resettlement and ongoing care
- Maintain accurate records, contribute to reports, and support service delivery standards and chaplaincy initiatives

The Ideal Candidate
- Ordained or authorised Roman Catholic Chaplain with formal endorsement from the relevant authority
- Strong understanding of the Christian faith, with the ability to lead worship and engage diverse groups
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgemental approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience (or strong interest) in working with vulnerable individuals or complex needs communities
- Well-organised with strong administrative, IT, and problem-solving skills
Successful candidates will be required to undergo MOJ Level 2 and Enhanced DBS checks, plus Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC).

- Pro rata salary: £35,280.24 (£31,551.00 + £3,729.24 London Weighting)
