Cleaning Operative

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Cleaning Operative in Bishopbriggs. This is a part-time, on-site role offering £13.45 per hour plus benefits.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our clients while delivering services in line with company standards and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning duties across all designated areas to the highest standards, including periodic and deep cleaning tasks
  • Ensure all cleaning activities are delivered in line with client contracts and service level agreements
  • Safely use cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations
  • Operate cleaning equipment correctly and report any faults immediately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of cleaning stores and equipment
  • Use appropriate safety signage (e.g. wet floor signs) and promote a safe working environment
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management
  • Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and security regulations
  • Provide cover for colleagues during absence when required
  • Report hazards, incidents, or irregularities promptly
  • Attend training sessions and team meetings as required

What We're Looking For

  • Previous cleaning experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of cleaning standards and compliance environments
  • Understanding of health and safety practices, including COSHH
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing business needs
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or BICS (desirable)
