About the Role

At Heritage Portfolio, we create memorable experiences in extraordinary settings and we’re looking for an Event Manager who thrives on the energy of live events, loves the detail behind seamless delivery, and knows how to turn great planning into standout guest experiences. Based at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, you’ll lead the coordination and delivery of a busy and varied events programme, managing everything from client planning and staffing to suppliers, service flow, and on-the-day execution.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure all planning, operational and kitchen service delivery functions for the venue are in place and to the right standard
  • Manage all quality control measures, Health & Safety and Hygiene systems
  • Understand and articulate service offers to venue clients, customers and the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] team
  • Lead innovation and service styles that drive positive PR and client feedback
  • Play an active part within the wider events team
  • Work closely with clients on event planning, ensuring all linen and equipment is in place
  • Ensure correct staffing levels in line with event requirements and budget

What You Bring

  • A passionate interest in the catering industry – knowledge of current trends
  • 1 year’s experience in a high-volume catering environment
  • Ability to craft communication plans for key stakeholders
  • Evidence of ability to create and adhere to project delivery plans
  • Ability to produce accurate work to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to competently use MS desktop applications – Excel, Teams, Word
  • Ability to motivate a team of mixed abilities
  • Proven record of managing a front of house team
