About the role

Greggs Shop Manager - Fixed Term Contract, duration 9 months, 40 Hours per week, Salary is £32,000 per year, Location is Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Hathersage Road, Manchester, M13 9WL. Join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust as part of Greggs in Manchester, where we are committed to delivering operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver exceptional customer experience by actively managing queues, following Greggs Service Styles, and achieving consistent CEV results
  • Lead and develop the team through coaching, performance management, and supporting continuous training using YGL modules
  • Ensure compliance with all Brand Standards, Food Safety, SHE principles, and operational procedures
  • Maximise sales opportunities across all day parts, including product availability, upselling meal deals, and engaging with digital channels
  • Maintain shop presentation, hygiene, and safety standards
  • Actively participate in team engagement and foster a positive work environment
  • Use data reports (BI, QuDOS, and other tools) to monitor performance
  • Support operational activities such as energy management, waste reduction, and charity donation procedures

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience of leading a team within a service environment
  • Proven experience of managing operations within a catering service
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience of delivering relevant training
  • Understanding of Health and Safety and legislative requirements
  • Experience of implementation and adherence to HACCP
  • Experience dealing with branded outlets is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and proven IT skills
