There’s nowhere quite like Fulham Pier – and as a Head Barista at the vibrant Alphabet Café in Riverside Market, you’ll be crafting exceptional drinks in a lively, fast-paced environment with stunning riverside views.
As Head Barista, you’ll be the mastermind behind our coffee program, leading the team to deliver perfectly crafted brews and providing an unforgettable experience for our members.
What you'll do
- Lead in delivering an exceptional guest experience across everyday operations within Alphabet.
- Lead in the management of operational excellence and contract delivery.
- Help build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to ensure client expectations are met.
- Produce staff schedules within given budget.
- Dial in espresso, monitor extraction, and maintain equipment to the highest standard.
- Order and maintain consumables and stock to set levels.
- Oversee the smooth running of the coffee shop and daytime service.
- Ensure compliance with KPIs relevant to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Live! and Fulham FC.
- Construct and deliver staff training plans and maintaining uniform standards within the Market Hall.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, and fire regulations.
- Report to the Market Hall Manager on progress and resolve customer issues.
- Ensure food and beverage operations meet quality standards.
- Staffing costs within budget / target.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience as a Head Barista / Senior Barista or similar leadership role in a high-quality, high-volume environment.
- Deep knowledge and passion for coffee and beverage standards.
- Strong leadership and training experience.
- A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a flexible, evolving venue.
- Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills, able to motivate and support a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of handling operational challenges.
- Positive, hands-on attitude with flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
