Assistant Chef Manager

About the role
As an Assistant Chef Manager at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you'll support the Chef Manager in delivering high-quality nutritious meals. Responsibilities include:
- Working as part of the kitchen team under the Chef Manager.
- Deputising for chef manager in their absence
- Monitoring portion control and minimising waste to support cost targets.
- Assisting in menu planning and continuous improvement of food offer.
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver a smooth and efficient service.
- Working in a busy corporate catering environment with varying demand.
- Maintaining food quality and consistency during peak service times.
- Supporting ordering and stock management to avoid shortages or waste.

- Contributing to a positive and innovative kitchen culture
What you'll bring
Essential:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of stock ordering and cost control.
Desirable:
- Experience in contract catering or corporate environments.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene
