About the role
Painter & Decorator – Healthcare Environment
- Location: Hereford County Hospital
- Hours: 40 per week, Monday–Friday
- Shift Times: 7:00–15:30 or 7:30–16:00
- Pay: £14.15 per hour (40 hrs)
- Overtime: Paid at time and a half after 40 hours

We’re looking for a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our Estates team at Hereford County Hospital. You’ll help maintain a safe, welcoming and well‑presented environment for patients, visitors and staff — work that genuinely makes a difference every day.
This is a Monday–Friday role with no weekends, no call‑outs and stable daytime hours.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out internal and external painting, decorating and general maintenance
- Support planned and reactive maintenance across the hospital estate
- Maintain high standards of finish, safety and professionalism
- Work closely with the Estates team and hospital staff to ensure smooth operations
- Contribute to a positive, safe and efficient working environment
What You Bring
- Experience in painting, decorating or building maintenance
- NVQ in Painting & Decorating is desirable, but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- A proactive, flexible approach and commitment to high standards
- Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not required
