About the role

We are seeking a qualified Plumber with mechanical maintenance experience to support the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality facilities management services. This role is key to ensuring plumbing systems and associated mechanical equipment operate reliably and in line with compliance standards.

Join our team and play a key role in delivering excellence and innovation in Hard FM and Technical Facilities Services.

As a Plumber you'll:

  • Respond to plumbing and mechanical issues, supporting emergency escalation procedures, including out-of-hours when required
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plumbing systems and mechanical plant
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs within technical capability
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely using approved systems such as RAMS and LOTO, and in line with company and industry standards
  • Assist with prioritising work orders and liaise with the Helpdesk and end users to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Carry out pipework repairs, installations, and like-for-like replacements, along with minor mechanical works
  • Monitor system performance, including water systems and mechanical equipment, escalating issues where necessary
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Report progress and highlight issues to the Senior Technician
  • Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including time, materials, and relevant details
  • Complete required training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
  • Relevant experience in plumbing and mechanical maintenance
  • Knowledge of water hygiene standards (G3 qualification desirable)
  • Understanding of engineering compliance and best practice
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Experience working in a similar facilities management environment
