Further Information

Deputy Head Teacher – Inclusion Lead ([Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]) Leadership Scale: L22 to L26

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Deputy Head Teacher to join our purposeful and dynamic senior leadership team. This exciting and rare opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of a long standing member of staff and we are looking to appoint a committed, hard working and passionate colleague.

The focus of this pivotal role will be to lead on the development and implementation of the school’s inclusion strategy for key groups in school. This will require someone who possesses excellent interpersonal skills to influence inclusive practice and to contribute further to our development of a positive culture, where pupils feel safe, respected and ready to learn in order to secure success.

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a mixed 11–16 maintained community organisation based in the heart of Boldon Colliery. We serve a community that faces real economic challenges: around 50% of our pupils are eligible for free school meals and a significant proportion receive SEND support.

We require a commensurate professional, who will make a valuable contribution to our continuing and positive journey of school improvement. There are some challenges to face yet this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant, values-driven environment where commitment to social mobility, high expectations and strong pastoral care make a real impact.

We welcome applications from innovative and experienced candidates, who are committed to social justice and raising aspirations, believing passionately that every student can succeed.
