Job summary

We are looking for an Education Lead to be based in St Leonards, Dorset. To enable [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] staff to deliver high quality pre-hospital patient care by providing innovative, efficient and effective in-service training and education. This may include delivery in the classroom setting and/or in the workplace to individuals and groups of staff. Provide proactive and dynamic leadership, acting as an educational figurehead, promoting high quality patient care, examination and assessment, values and appropriate care pathways.

Main duties of the job

To carry out a comprehensive variety of training duties, as required by the Head of Education and L&D management team. The focus of the Education Lead will be on delivering high quality classroom and work-based learning and assessment as appropriate, considering previous learning and recognising learner progress so as to manage accordingly and to meet individual learning needs.

Person Specification

Education and Qualifications

  • Relevant BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent (Essential)
  • Cert Ed or PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (Essential)
  • Registered Clinician (Essential)
  • Significant post-registration experience as a Registered Health Care Professional (Essential)
  • ALS Instructor (Desirable)
  • AMLS Instructor (Desirable)
  • PHTLS Instructor (Desirable)
  • Level 6 or higher Clinical Supervision qualification (Desirable)
  • Level 6 or higher Mentorship qualification (Desirable)
  • Management or Clinical Leadership qualification (Desirable)
  • Working towards post-graduate level qualification such as MSc (Desirable)
