FULL DESCRIPTION

HART Paramedic

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting a HART Paramedic for teams in Bristol and Exeter. This role involves responding to adverse incidents, hazardous materials, CBRNe, and other high-risk environments. Full-time, permanent, Band 6. Salary £39,959 to £48,117 per annum.

Main Duties

As a HART Paramedic you will respond to a variety of adverse and protracted incidents, delivering paramedic interventions through capability areas including:

  • Hazardous Materials (HazMat)
  • Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and explosives (CBRNe) environment
  • Marauding Terrorist Attack (MTA)
  • Safe Working at Height (SWaH)
  • Confined spaces
  • Unstable terrain
  • Water operations
  • Support to Security Operations (SSO)
  • Off road operations
  • High consequence infectious disease (HCID)

Enhanced clinical skills include endotracheal intubation, ketamine administration, surgical cricothyroidotomy and digital thoracostomy.

Requirements

  • HCPC Qualified Paramedic
  • UK Driving Licence with C1
  • Blue Light Driving
  • BSc in Emergency and Urgent Care practice or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Clinical Skills e.g endotracheal intubation
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Capable of swimming 100 metres
  • Meets physical requirements for HART specific PPE (foot size 3-14, weight less than 124Kg)
