Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for a Brain Injury Support Worker with an understanding of individuals who have acquired brain injuries, mental health conditions, or a background in fields like Psychology, Neuroscience, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or other health and social care related disciplines. As a Brain Injury Support Worker, you’ll receive specialised training and have the unique opportunity to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, and rehabilitation clinicians.

We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and emotionally intelligent support worker to assist a young female client recovering from a brain injury sustained in a road traffic accident. The client has limited mobility; she can walk short distances with assistance but uses a wheelchair in the community. She experiences cognitive impairments, including reduced short-term memory, and requires full support with all activities of daily living.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 3 months experience working with clients with traumatic brain injuries, acquired brain injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington’s Disease, or Multiple Sclerosis is highly desirable.
  • Full UK Manual Driving License.
  • Must be Comfortable Around Dogs.
  • Ability to provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes.

  • Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
