FULL DESCRIPTION

Dementia Care Assistant

Location: London – Various Locations
Shifts: Flexible working hours (under a 0-hour contract)
Salary: £13.68 – £14.72 per hour* (with the ability to access a % of your earnings in just 4 days or less after completing shifts!)

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum 3 months experience in a home care setting as a Carer
  • The ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with elderly or disabled clients, even in challenging situations
  • A deep understanding of the needs and vulnerabilities of elderly adults within our community
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, manual handling, and health & safety standards
  • Ability to administer medications, making a meaningful difference in their health journey.
  • Ability to help with grocery shopping and meal preparation based on client preferences
  • Be confident when collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • The Ability to maintain meticulous records and documentation

Eligibility Criteria

  • ✅Minimum 3 months work experience in a home care setting as a Carer, with a deep understanding of client needs.
  • ✅The ability to connect professionally and empathetically with elderly or disabled clients, even in challenging situations.
  • ✅An understanding of the needs of elderly individuals, people with Dementia, or disabled adults who are vulnerable within society.
  • ✅Ability to administer medications, making a meaningful difference in their health journey.
  • ✅Ability to help with grocery chopping and meal preparation based on clients’ preferences and needs.
  • ✅Knowledge of food hygiene, manual handling, and health & safety standards.
  • ✅A passion for enabling person centred care and support
  • ✅The ability to maintain meticulous records and documentation
