FULL DESCRIPTION
Pre-Academy Coach / Skills Coach
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a self-motivated, committed, and experienced individual to join the Academy Department at Landore Training Ground. This role involves coaching young players in line with the club's philosophy, managing relationships, and attending matches and tournaments. The position requires flexibility for evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high standard coaching to the respective age group, educating them in line with the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] philosophy and methodology.
- Ensure all Academy players adhere to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Values.
- Adhere to the Coaches Code of Conduct.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with parents.
- Complete CPD to maintain coaching qualifications.
- Maintain FA/FAW Licensed Coaches Club membership criteria.
- Identify players available each weekend for matches and communicate requirements.
- Take responsibility for care and maintenance of training equipment and kit.
- Attend additional training nights as instructed.
- Assess trialists and feed back to Lead Phase Coach/Head of Academy Recruitment.
- Attend tournaments and trips when requested by the club.

Essential
- FAW ‘C’ Certificate / FA Level 2
- FA Learning Safeguarding Children Certificate
- FA Emergency Aid in Football Certificate
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible attitude to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Remain polite and courteous in difficult meetings
- Good planning, preparation and management skills
- Versatile and adaptable
- Drive and motivation to set high standards
- Personable approach with strong work ethic
- Ability to plan, deliver, develop and monitor coaching sessions
- Effectively manage player, parent and staff relationships
- Flexible approach to work and working hours
- Enthusiastic and passionate about football and youth development
- Pro-active forward-thinking coach
Desirable
- Previous experience of working with young players
- Full driving licence
