Digital Marketing Assistant (Fixed Term Contract)

Salary: £21,673.00 - £22,000.00 per annum

Contract Type: Fixed Term, Full Time (40 hrs/week)

Purpose of Role

To support the Head of Digital to manage and develop the club’s digital assets, including the official club website, app and other digital channels to ensure that [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] delivers an exceptional level of supporter engagement and strong commercial return.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse engagement across all digital channels and drive department KPIs
  • Work with media and commercial departments to deliver successful digital campaigns for sponsors and partners
  • Plan and implement paid advertising campaigns on Meta, TikTok and Google
  • Review campaign results and create reports
  • Ensure marketing materials are up to date across the Stadium and beyond
  • Manage marketing materials across digital screens in and around the Stadium
  • Provide general marketing support for retail/ticketing campaigns
  • Oversee collation of key data including website analytics and user testing
  • Create monthly reports for all digital channels to stakeholders and sponsors
  • Review new digital technologies to keep the club at the forefront of digital in football
  • Evaluate supporter research, market conditions and competitor data; implement new strategies
  • Ensure digital assets are part of wider marketing and communication strategies

Person Specification

  • At least one year's experience in a digital marketing/media role
  • Experience leading analysis of effective digital content across channels
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital industry, current trends and future developments
  • Thorough understanding of sports industry and particularly football
  • In-depth knowledge of current digital technologies and future trends
  • Experienced with Google Analytics and website analytics platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to present at board level
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work outside normal office hours including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Highly driven and assertive
  • Working knowledge of content management systems and media channels
