FULL DESCRIPTION

Video Scout (x2 roles)

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring two Video Scouts to work remotely under the Head of Recruitment. This part-time role (20 hours/week) involves watching and reporting on video footage of identified players for the 1st team squad.

Core Duties

  • Under guidance of the Head of Recruitment, use player lists to watch match footage of relevant players and report on the Club reporting system.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of football, tactical awareness, individual player traits and passion for talent identification.
  • Use an analytical mind when watching football matches.
  • Assist the Recruitment Analyst with undertaking due diligence on potential players.
  • Ensure all significant targets have been watched and reports submitted.
  • Ensure all scouted players fit individual positional profiles set by the Club.
  • Work to deadlines and demonstrate organisational skills.
  • Watch targeted players, write reports and prioritise list for submission.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Deliver high standard of work under pressure with strict deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to see tasks through.
  • Self-motivation and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Ability to think outside the box and deliver bespoke scouting solutions.
  • Good professional nature with confidentiality.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to use modern scouting technology.
  • Proficient IT and written skills.
  • Passionate about scouting and recruitment.
  • Honest and trustworthy.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Excellent soft skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in EFL Championship or Premier League in similar role.
  • Football/scouting background.
  • F.A Talent I.D Level 2 or coaching qualifications.
  • Experience with InStat & Wyscout; knowledge of Tableau.
