Individual Coach Analyst (Professional Development Phase)

Salary: £22,500.00 - £25,000.00 per annum (Full-time, 40 hours)
About the Role
This role is based in the Academy at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], reporting to the Head of Player Development. The individual will lead individual analysis provision for Professional Development Phase (PDP) players, including recording training and matches, live tagging, data collection, reporting, modelling, and player clips aligned with Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate on planning, delivery, and evaluation of the IDP programme for PDP players.
- Lead individual analysis provision including recording, live tagging, data collection, reporting, and player clips.
- Strengthen the transition of analysis processes with on-pitch delivery ensuring alignment and consistency of feedback.
- Develop self-review and analytical skills of PDP players.
- Produce team pre-match and post-match video reports and presentations.
- Produce additional video and data content for Academy needs.
- Support analysis projects for FDP/YDP to enhance player and staff development.
- Assist cross-department projects improving data and video feedback.
- Develop creative analysis resources for feedback.
- Contribute to best practice video libraries for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Academy coaches and analysts.
- Share relevant resources via Academy platforms.
- Contribute to overall development of the Player Development Department.
- Manage and maintain the Club’s performance management systems and analysis equipment.
- Encourage interdisciplinary working within the Academy performance department.
Person Specifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, Sports Coaching, or related subject.
- UEFA B Licence.
- FA Learning Safeguarding Children Certificate & FA Emergency Aid in Football Certificate.
- DBS check.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree in related field.
- UEFA A Licence and/or UEFA Elite Youth Licence or FA Advanced Youth Award.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience providing analytical support in a football environment.
- At least three years coaching experience in an Academy setting.
- Proficient in Sportscode, Hudl, SBG, StatsBomb.
- Demonstrable tactical football knowledge.
- Knowledge of filming, capturing, analysing, and coding.
- Creating video feedback to individuals and groups.
- Experience working under pressure and to deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, and IT skills.
- Ability to adapt at short notice.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with data sets.
- Experience in individual player development.
- Experience with telestration tools (HUDL Studio, Piero, CoachPaint).
- Knowledge of scripting language in professional football.
